Getting involved
Return to Home Page
Vale Vision needs volunteers – the more help we have the more can be achieved for our area.
What you can do:
  • Help improve the area for you and your family - get involved with developing projects and funding bids.
  • Assist in the Vale Vision Shop at 28 Long Street.
  • Help with window displays, newsletters or development of the 'What's on Leaflet'.
  • Develop your skills with Database, Desktop Publishing, Spreadsheets, Graphics, Word Processing and e-mail whilst becoming involved with what is happening in your area.
  • If you are not interested in using computers, you can assist with answering the telephone, contacting local people or just explaining to those who visit the premises what Vale Vision is doing.
  • You can use this opportunity to develop skills to seek work – Vale Vision will assist you with training.

Or it may be that you are only interested in getting involved in one particular project and that is fine by us too.

Training
Vale Vision in partnership with others has organised training that will assist you in your work or help in getting a job. Whilst helping Vale Vision you can undertake an NVQ. Two of our volunteers have just completed NVQ's in Business Administration level 2 and 3, and have been Adult Learner Award winners (find out more...). A further volunteer is part way through NVQ Level 2 and two others are just starting. Click here for further Training Opportunities.
