Geoff Wheeler was a Dursley Town Councillor for 12 years including 3 years as mayor and for four years was the County Councillor for the Dursley division that included Uley, Nympsfield and Stinchcombe as well as the town.

He represented Dursley on the Gloucestershire Market Towns Forum including spells as a director and chairperson.

Geoff is currently a governor of Rednock School and of Stroud College in Gloucestershire.
