Mike Doughty is an active member of the local community having lived in both Cam and Dursley.

He is currently Chairman of Dursley Town Trust, a Trustee of Stinchcombe Hill and has recently stepped down from Dursley Town Council.

Locally he is Honorary Treasurer for the Rotary Club of Dursley and nationally is Head of Internal Audit for Natural England.
