NVQ QUALIFICATIONS

The Vale Vision Office in Dursley offers local people of all ages the opportunity to work on a large number of skills using a range of Microsoft Office software inlcuding word processing, databases, spreadsheets, desktop publishing and email correspondence using Microsoft Outlook. The real and challenging work that Vale Vision undertakes ensures that they can get involved in local projects, using the Internet for research and collating information for projects as well as meeting the general public who come into the 'shop' not only to feed in their views about projects which are all displayed in our window but also to ask questions about local developments. Our involvement with local developers (County, District, Town and Parish) ensures that we are able to keep the public informed on what is happening. The office provides an excellent opportunity for work experience for those seeking work and all volunteers are encouraged to upgrade their qualifications. Last year one of our volunteers achieved a Regional Award for her NVQ level 2 in Business Administration and another a National Award for NVQ level 3 in Business Administration.
