Update on the Littlecombe Development

Things are starting to happen at Littlecombe! The site is being developed at both the Cam and Dursley ends.

  • The site is changing dramatically with the opening up of the river, the river being diverted to make way for industrial units and houses at the Cam end of the site.
  • To date there is interest in 10 of the 16 small business units.
  • Bloor Homes has been awarded the contract to build eco homes to high standards, again at the Cam end of the site. Drawings will be submitted to Stroud District Planning Department later this summer. Please click here (268KB) for further details of the Bloor Homes development (subject to planning). Please note, for a higher definition of the image, please click here (2,034 KB).
  • Investigations are currently well underway for a central Biomass boiler to provide heating for the majority of the homes on the site.
  • Stroud College has the results of recent surveys, are carrying out a feasibility study and seeking funding to relocate to Drake House – this would also see the relocation of a Construction Skills Centre.
  • 'The Towers' is very much underway in being refurbished as a Care home for the elderly.

Visit again for further updates as the development progresses!
